The Personal Me
Michelle finds music to be a powerful force—uplifting, motivational, and healing. It’s the perfect backdrop for work, baking, or simply taking a walk. When she’s not playing music in the background, she’s taking in concerts or supporting local musicians at live events in and around Cleveland. Michelle instilled a love of music in her children, introducing them to different styles as they were growing up. As a result, her children not only have a great appreciation for music, but are both talented musicians. Her daughter sings, plays the flute, and is a self-taught guitar player and her son plays saxophone, guitar and keyboards.
If she’s not listening to music, she’s either at or watching a Browns, Indians, or Cavs game, or baking—her other great love. Michelle, her mom, and her kids have a longstanding tradition called “Cookiefest” where they get together for a weekend of non-stop Christmas cookie baking, making 12-13 different kinds of cookies in mass quantities for family and friends. In the summer, she likes to spend time on her family’s boat on Lake Erie.
Little known fact: Michelle’s daughter and her acapella group performed at the White House for President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as on NBC’s Today Show.
